As Headteacher of St. Crispin’s, I work closely with Governors to ensure we give every child the best possible start to school life. As a team we monitor and evaluate the work of the whole school, constantly looking for ways to improve.
Mr Mark Mulcahy - Chair of Governors / Co opted Governor
I thought I could help out on the finance and performance management committees in particular because I have relevant budget management experience. However, what I really enjoy is the part that the Governors play in ensuring that each and every child has the very best opportunity to reach their potential. We support the new ideas and initiatives of the teaching staff by looking to achieve the best outcomes possible from our sometimes limited resources and then see the Impact and the difference it really does make to the children‘s Ieamlng in the three short years they are in St.Crispin's.
MRS HOLLY CARTER - PARENT GOVERNOR
As a Teacher and Advisor for Kent’s Virtual School I have a passion in promoting the education of children who are care-experienced or have experienced disadvantage.
St. Crispin’s has a wonderfully inclusive ethos which enables all children to be unique and this is the reason for my children joining the school.
I am keen for my experience in and passion for education to be useful in raising the aspirations of every child within the school and helping to provide the very best learning environments.
Mrs Lisa Johnstone - Co-opted Governor
Several of my family have attended St.Crispin's in the past and currently my grandson is in year 1. As i am now retired, i help with the school run and am enjoying involvement in school life again.
I am a qualified accountant and spent most of my career working in financial services where i gained experience in regulation and compliance. I believe i can use my skills and experience to make a positive contribution as a governor.
Mrs Jo MacDonald- Parent Governor
Having worked in Communications for the last 17 years, in both the public and private sector, I am now re-training to be a school counsellor.
I believe passionately in the importance of an ambitious curriculum that includes sport, music and expressive arts to nurture imagination, trust, teamwork, community spirit and self-confidence. The wellbeing and social aspects of these activities cannot be underestimated and help ensure that all children flourish here.

I am a proud parent and grandparent.. I have a love for football, music, going-out and travel and trying not to be old!
Mr ROB WINTER - PARENT GOVERNOR
My Daughter started at St Crispins in September 2023. I was so impressed by the facilities and the way the school is run (particularly the support for children with challenges) that I wanted to give something back. As a Financial Advisor I am happy to offer some additional support on the Financial and business side also.
Miss NICOLE HYETT - STAFF GOVERNOR
As the Deputy Headteacher and SENCo at St Crispin's my aim is for our school to be a nurturing and inclusive environment for all, promoting children's confidence and resilience. Our team work hard to ensure that all of our children are progressing towards their next step and that they are appropriately supported through this challenge.
